    Threaded Rod

I'm looking for some threaded rod.
I need two lengths about a foot each of anything between 7/16 and 3/4 (1/2 preferred) dia but the must be 16TPI.
    I know it's not a normal size but that's what I need.
Would also need matching nuts (4 nuts)
Any idea where to look without breaking the bank?
    Thanks in advance
    Mooser

Try www.mcmaster.com, they have 3/4-16 threaded rod and associated hardware.

I was trying to avoid going this big on the dia (1/2 would be nice) but it looks like nothing is available until I go down to 3/8
McMaster doesn't ship to Canada (something about sled dogs and igloos or something like that) Brafsco and fastenal have the 3/4-16

    Thanks

The X axis on a X2 mill is 5/8 x16 but it may not have 12 " of thread.
If its long enough for you you can get it from www.littlemachineshop.com.
The also have a the nut for the X-axis feed.
I have had good luck with them shipping into Canada as my parts came with no duty.

With all the people who convert theses mill to ball screws there should be some around left over from the conversion.

Hmmmmmm Cool, I need 12" of shaft but not actual travel so I could extend the non-threaded portion.
Thanks, I'm off to the X2 forum to see what I can see
