    Any jeep guys? 87 YJ

So I let my friend borrow my jeep, 87 Wrangler, winter wheels of choice since the mustang does donuts in the snow and that's about it. Well, he broke the door handle, managed to rip it half way out of the door! No problem, just order a new door handle since the old one is beat up...

Well, when he "fixed" the door handle, he managed to loose the wedges that hold the door handle to the door!!! So I get the new door handle in and figured the wedges are in the bottom of the door, no problem, right?... Easy fix... Nope, the wedges are MIA.

Any jeep guys have a YJ door handle wedge that they can send me a scanning of? If you can put one on a flat bed scanner next to a ruler or tape measure I'll import the pic into CAD and make a couple.

Any help is greatly appreciated! (or if you know where I can buy some, I can't find them, been looking on the net for hours!)

    MC,

I have a 1990 Wrangler Sahara built for the trail, but all the information I have found does not include all the smaller detail parts.

I have never had a problem with my doors, so by your parts description, cannot help much.

You might need to go to the dealership and at least get part numbers or a better nomenclature. "Wedge" is pretty nonspecific to which door handle. As in outer door handle, inner door handle or strap pull handle and whether these are half or full doors.

I gave it a shot with Morris, 4WD and JC Whitney parts diagrams and came up with nothing.

Well, maybe this listed under CJ?

    Handle Keepers

At $5.95 each set, is it worth it to make them?

YES! That is it! I looked for hours and couldn't find anything under a YJ, same door handle as the CJ though so that's exactly what I'm missing, thank you!

But yes, sorry for the lack of info, 87 YJ, outer door handle for the drivers side full door, guess you call them keepers.

Kinda had a brain-fart, I'm going to pull one out of the passenger door and copy them. Would rather just pay $6 plus shipping but I have been opening my drivers door from the inside for a week! And there is too much snow to drive my Mustang, I'd prefer not to die this winter.

    THANK YOU!
    MC
