    Greetings!

    Mr Yeagle here

currently a technology education (shop ) teacher near philly, USA...

My students are about to construct 1/24 scale slot cars.. in the past I have purchased (at a good cost) plastic "crown gears"

    my supplier has dried up..

I am now in search of a new solution.. someone out there has to make an extrusion something like this

    http://members.optusnet.com.au/bpatto/parts/SIGS03.gif

looking for an extrusion with a spur gear type profile that is approx .75 inch outside dia..

    Mr HuFlungDung here

Try Sterling Instrument. Their website is down at present, but not for good, I hope.
First you get good, then you get fast. Then grouchiness sets in.

    add url for sdpi

Might be of use - less than 3 bucks each and they have nearly 50 in stock?
I've been looking for some larger and happened on MSC as an option.

If metal is OK - how about McMaster - for gear stock - cut your own to length?

Stock Drive site ( http://www.sdp-si.com/ ) is down too BUT, they do carry spur gear stock.

Experience is the BEST Teacher. Is that why it usually arrives in a shower of sparks, flash of light, loud bang, a cloud of smoke, AND -- a BILL to pay? You usually get it -- just after you need it.
