Need a 1/8 collet for mt Bosch 1617EVS

Bosch apparently makes one that will fit their smaller trim routers... but not their larger ones.

So if anyone has a line on either a 1/8 collet complete with nut or just a 1/8 collet that will slide into either the standard 1/4 or 1/2 collet that came with my router, I'd be most grateful.

I really don't want to have to get a machinist to make me one. Part of the reason I'm doing this is that the engraving bits I've seen are much cheaper in the 1/8 shank models versus the 1/4 shank models. Paying a machinist to make me a collet kind of defeats the whole purpose here...

I had to go a round about way. ROTOZIP has a 1/4 to 1/8 step down that's pretty accurate. And since I didn't have any 1/4 callets for my large CNC I made a 3/8 to 1/4 spacer from a bronze oil-lite bushing by slitting it down the edge. All available at Lowes under 10 bucks. Runout isn't something to brag about but it does a superb job engraving with cheaper, and more importantly available, Dremmel bits.

Hm... I have a Rotozip drywall router. And it came with 3 different collets. 1/4, 3/16, and 1/8 I think.

In my case, I'd need to step down from 1/2 to 1/8. Know of anything with a 1/2 outer diameter and an 1/8 (or smaller) inner diameter?

Buy me a Beer?

These are supposed to be available for Bosch routers in about 6 months.

Ah, VERY cool. Thanks.

I guess I'll just cut out some mounts for the rotozip and use it for now when I need to cut with 1/8 shank bits. No sense in wasting my time with a makeshift bushing when a machine-made collet is already in the works.
