Need Help!- Bridgeport Apollo CNC mill HELP Plz!

Hello all! I recently came into posession of this lightly used BIG 5.5hp
mill. I have a complex install manual but NO operation guide.
I no NOTHING of CNC tech and am hoping to use this machine to learn.
Tasks would be milling and threading 2" holes in 3" mild steel plate assemblies.
First, what language (G code)?? How difficult to get a user friendly interface to do simple tasks, such as surfacing, milling large holes, threading large holes.
I am largely ignorant and request humbly any advice. Thanks!

Iam also in the same situation as you. I acquired a Bridgeport Apollo series ll mill.
Iam trying to learn about it. What kind of controlls it has? What kind of upgrades can be done to it? And what it is capable of?
I have even started some on line training to try to learn about it, and how to operate it.
If you, or anyone else knows about these machines any information would be greatly apperciated. If I learn anything about it I will let you know.

Post a pic of the machine and someone will be able to help you may look at the post processor list for bobcad or the other cadcam software and see if the control has a postprocessor listed try to get any manual's you can for the machine do a Ebay and gogel search for info Good Luck Kevin
