Couple shots of the router
BTW it runs on 280 oz/in steppers, and cuts about 2'x1'x4"
Time to see what I can get it to do!
Thanks, Sam
Hello all,
First post here... I've been searching for a Stepper router to help with making some specilized machines. I finally grabbed one off eBay and will need a bed or table for it. I had found an extrusion on eBay prior, but cannot relocate. It was around 8"x30"x0.5" with T-slots for(I think) 3/8" nuts.
I would like the low profile to retain my Z travel.
Anyone know a place selling this?
Thanks,
Sam

Sam,
If you are talking about those very sweet Mic-6 T-slot tables.
I believe that Eric the "Widgetmaster" is or was the "t-slot-Master".
Good Luck!
Nice Router by the way. Who is the manufacturer?
Not sure who the manufacture is, it seems to be a one off type build. Looks like the eBay vendor builds and sells one at a time. The info was a bit sketchy in the auction, but the quality, on day one, is better than expected. Ball screws, quality couplers, + & - home switches for both X and Y axis. Cabling already neatly ran inside wire tracks, with okay connectors for the steppers. The instructions look like more than enough to walk one through basic setup of Mach3. Even the pinouts noted inside the instructions folder.
Packing, rather crating, was wonderful and well thought out. Everything appears to be of 6061 minus the connector and e-stop boxes. Only down fall is that Hurco blue...
Found a few things to fix up already. The ways, or bearing shafts are not retained in all axis. They have a VERY light press into aluminum, so I'll have to better secure them. Looks like I was sent a printer cable with a male/female. The control box has the female same as the computer...
Thanks for the name drop,
Sam
The table shown is available from Techno-Isel.....I believe that is the way the name is spelled.
Whoa!!! $340
Huh, might give that a little thought. I was sure I had found an eBay seller offering same stuff for a lot less. That is it though:

edit:
I guess there are a few other less expensive opions:

Will require most build work, but cuts cost by less than half! $150 sounds okay, a least a lot closer to the number in my head.
Thanks for helping me locate these!
Sam
Here is how it ended up, aside from not having the right bolts yet...
techno-isel.com did a very nice job getting the extrusion to me as well. Shipped out next day, with UPS tracking forwarded (without asking for it) and nicely packaged in a THK box.
Thanks again for helping locate this, it sure brings the router up a notch.
