    desktop cnc UK

This has probably been posted before (if the post is recent could someone link me).

I'm looking for a small desktop CNC machine in the UK for less than £800. Like this (which is no longer available):

    http://www.cncdudez.com/

    Could anyone help?

    Thanks.

Any luck Will? I’m also looking for a similar machine around the £1000 mark, a full kit of parts would also be fine.

Again thank you, indeed that is the sort of thing I’m after. The only thing I’m not so sure on is all the belt drives, but what do I know about such things? It’s just a personal preference. The size and obvious quality look to be perfect.

    Just been sent this picture.

Very similar to one I'm building (I believe that particular one is a "Heiz" Hi Z ) I'm using supported rails and ballscrews+Belt to lessen racking.....Oh and my Z is a tad different....and the uprights....in fact all of it

    Sizes etc

It a profile made by Rose and Krieger (Blocan S40X80...heavy stuff) the skinny marie bits for the bed to sit on are 25X50 by Bosch Rexroth and the major Al plate items are 20mm thick with the Y axis carriage made from a 103X150mm block with SKF bearings and THK HR1530 blocks and rails on the Z with an NSK ballscrew and 20mm ballscrews for the other two axes...Belt drive was bought and shipped from America as the price of the pulleys exceeded the total cost of belts and pulleys from the US!

The drivers are the much maligned stepmasterNC 2.5A units.....I've had these for years and never had any probs.....

Just plucking up the courage to buy the pulleys and belts for the X and Y now... There's a kind of build log here and more images here I think work allowing it'll be running within 2 weeks.

I wonder what the retail would be on ebay?
