| Nobody seems interested in manufacturing... All, We have a Rough Riders reenactment group that is in need of KRAG Model 1896 SRC (Saddle Ring Carbine) Carbines. These original (correct) weapons of this type are just extremely rare and expensive, and are not well suited to the mounted cavalry reenactments we participate in. This is particularly true of the parades such as the Memorial Day Parade in Washington D.C. as no weapons are permitted. For all the manufacturers of movie props and simple static replica weapons, there are no Resin replicas available of this particular piece. While I've reached out to everyone online Re manufacturing these - nobody seems interested. So - I am now on a quest to do it myself. My brothers have a business in Atlanta with CNC routers so they may be able to help with actual Walnut Stocks. I'm open to pursuing other options, include DIY casting, or parting this job out to hobbyists. Anyone interested in assisting with this project? Regards, Maj Harry Morant |
