Where to Start

Greetings from Cairo,
This is my very first post...I'm a wood speargun builder and have been building my spearguns through a third party who produced it by a CNC machine.
I've decided to purchase a CNC machine to produce them myself, have good skills in CAD; 2D only but really don't know where to start to acquire information necessary to put me on the right track.

Any feedback would be highly appreciated.
