WTB:Bei Servo encoder disc 73-250 B

Hello,
I just signed up on this forum. Looks like fun!!

I have a Reliance Electric servo made by Elecrtocraft (model E540)
It has a Bei encoder that I can not seem to locate.
The encoder disc is marked 73-250 B .
I know its a long shot, but for a nice straight disc I would pay cash.
This is for Hobby use but I would still pay well for one.

I had a little accident and bent mine. If someone could help, I would be most appreciative. Thanks, Stephen

stephen, often those motors had 'kit' encoders.... lots of folks make same kind.... pix are worth a thousand words.... post some? know any specs? 5v, 1024ppr, a,b,z output? single ended? measure mount hole distance (2pc 4-40 screws @ 1.81" spacing) and shaft dia?

if u email me I will try to cross ref it over to new models for u.....

AFAIK, BEI do not sell just the disk, If you want info on the present BEI encoder they have a 1-800 # for support.
What is the full part # on the outside?
I have found BEI to be pricy, you should be able to find a replacement from Renco.

I am posting photos of the servo with the encoder. As for the other specs, I will have to get back to you tomorrow. I am not real familiar with the specs you listed above.
The white plastic encoder part is marked Bei C23080.
The shaft appears to be 1/4 " dia. I will need to put a mic on it to make sure.
The dust cover is marked:

That appears to be a 250 pulse/rev disk, pretty low resolution as it is also slotted disc, not glass etched.
US digital have virtually the same encoder, and it also looks like single ended as not enough conductors for differential.

agreed. if I have to guess I would replace with a 5v, 250ppr, 1/4" dia shaft, A,B TTL output, 1.81" dia bolt dimension. I will pm u EPC and Dynapar models tomorrow too; then u have 3 to choose from!

I forgot to add, it appears to have a marker as well, so it would A,B,Z. (5 connections)

but AL, there are only 4 wires brought out - that 5th one is cut off so not used.... ya, u can see the marker slot in one pix but if the wire is not used.....

The orange wire is not used in this setup.
This servo is one from my cnc router.
I am kind of worried after seeing the price on the encoders.$300... Is this what I will have to pay for an encoder? Are there any used parts dealers around?

I think you were pricing the absolute type, the similar one to yours and quadrature is ~$51.00?
