    info on guide rails needed

    Hi everyone,

I am looking to purchasing some parts from cncrouterparts for a diy cnc machine but have run into a hickup here in australia.

I am looking at buying the Linear Carriage with ABEC 7 Bearings so I can do the spring loaded pinion for the cnc.

The problem I have just come across is the guide rails for this setup, I cant seem to find any such monster in australia and to ship from fine line automation it will cost me $450 just in shipping. Is there anyone on this forum from australia who has successfully found rails for this setup?

    Thanks
    ikhan42

Are you talking about the aluminum extrusions, or the cold rolled steel rails?

Yes, it's just a piece of steel. You should be able to find it locally, although it may be 6mm thick instead of 1/4".
