NEW CNC milling machine purchase under 10K

    Good morning everybody,

We are looking at buying a new CNC machine and we are totally new to the CNC machining.
The reason we are considering a machine is that the custom parts that we need for another machine are very expensive to get made. And if we need to redo one of these parts, it would totally kill the project.
Our budget if fairly limited and we are trying not to exceed $10,000, preferably $8000. We do not have tons of space, but we do have a machine shop so we can host a reasonably sized machine.
Because we are new and we don't have much time on our hand, we are thinking not to opt for a rebuilding solution.

So far, we have looked at the following companies:

    * CNC masters: CNC Mills & Table Top Milling Machines | CNCMasters.com
    * Syil America: Syil America Products Page
    * Mikinimech: MIKINI MECHATRONICS CNC 1610L SUPER VALUE MINI CNC MACHINING CENTERS FOR OFFICE R&D ENGINEERING LABS OR HOME GARAGE SHOP
    * Sale CNC: SALE CNC Router Milling, CNC Laser, CNC plasma machine, China, Servo Motor Drive, UK, USA, Italy, Spain, Thailand
    * Tormach: Home | Tormach | We provide personal small CNC machines, CNC tooling, and many more CNC items
And a few others from China.

We really like the CNC SUPRA Mill from CNC masters because it is the correct size (X Y Z travel) for most of the parts we need to get done.

But the Mikinimech looks good also. It just seems a bit more expensive.

What other brands would you recommend in this price range? I would really appreciate any suggestions you might have. I looked everywhere and it is very hard to find an affordable CNC machine.

Please, post as many supplier as you might know that can provide good CNC milling machine for $10,000 or under, I think it will help a lot of people out there, not just me.

    Thank you.

    buying a new CNC

    Mattinv;

I am also looking for a CNC mill for a reasonable price. A few years back, I had an Enco manual mill, which was made in China. I ran this machine for about 4 years, ( daily) before I moved back East. I never had any problems with it. I took extreemly good care of it. The CNC Masters supra mill base is made in China and the head / motor is made in Taiwan. I am looking to buy this, but there are mixed reviews, so I am still researching.

Good luck and thanks for putting up the links to other manufacturers.

If I had to do it over, I would get a Tormach instead of the Mikini I got. The community and support from Tormach push it WAY ahead of the Mikini for what are pretty similar machines. You could build the splash shield around the Mikini for much less than the cost difference (this was a major point for me that I know now should not have been).
