    Bridgeport Series 1 Conversion

I am working with a friend who has an almost mint Bridgeport Knee Mill.
It is fully functional with an Anilam 1100M control system. Everything is up and running and it recently had a new 17" flat screen monitor and keyboard upgrade.

What we would like to do it convert it to a "Windows" operating system, being able to use Mach3 for the operating system with full digital control of stepper motors. We have found a complete conversion kit from MachMotion, their X15-250-MK TECO for $5469, which seems to be exactly what we are looking for and need to do the conversion.

Is there anyone who has done this conversion and could comment on the quality and sanctification of this particular conversion?

Is there any other company that can provide a comparable system that we should also be looking at?

Any input will be greatly appreciated,
    George

Why would you want to change, the system you have, If it runs ok, Your change would not be worth doing, the Analam is a much better control system & you already have it running, If it is giving you a lot of problems, then it may be time to fit a new system
