Default Large diameter round nose drill bits?

I'm looking for some large (2") round nose drill bits to create a flat but tilted surface along the end of some wooden boards (the specific angle varies, so I can't use a V-bit with a predefined angle)

On eBay 2" round nose bits come in three different variations:
    A: High speed steel: 4.99$
    B: Steel + carbide: 15.31$
    C: Tungsten carbide: 23.68$

So I guess the question is:
Will type B last at least three times as long as type A?
Or will type C last at least ~five times as long as type A?

If not, I guess it pays to simply buy the cheap one and churn through more of those..

As I'm an absolute newbie, I don't have the facilities or skills to re-grind a dulled HSS router bit. Though I'm sure that would have been an attractive option.

PS. There's also a 'Freud' round nose drill bit at 2", but at a price of 57.99$ I can only guess that it simply can't compete with the others, almost regardless how much longevity it has.

    1) Those are router bits, not drill bits.

I actually think the first one is carbide, not high speed steel. All three are probably almost exactly the same, and I'd expect similar performance and life from all of them.

Look for a local sharpening service, and you can get carbide tipped bits like these sharpened for about $5.

The Freud probably has a better grade of carbide, and should last longer, and give a better finish.

    I'd probably buy this one.

I bought a cheap V bit from them the other day for one time use, and it worked fine.

Why would they announce it as high speed steel if it really is carbide? It seems like they would be cheating themselves.

Finish quality isn't important in my application.

I've never seen a chinese Ebay description that was totally accurate.

Now I have received these router bits, but upon inspection they look to have normal metal cutting edges. How can I tell if they actually have a carbide coating?
