Looking To Buy CNC Plasma

I'm a newbie as far as CNC Plasma machines. I have done some research over the past month or so and I have found a gentleman by the name of Christopher Libby in Asheville, NC that seems to be building a solid machine using Mach3 and SheetCam software. He is running Geckop Drives and an Everlast Power Plasma 50S. It has Digital Torch Height Control. It has a 50" x 50" cutting area with water table for $7,000. My question to you all is has anyone heard of him and does this sound like a good deal?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. It sounds like a great deal but just nervous about handing over $7,000 to someone to build a machine I know nothing about. I'd like to see if anyone on here has dealt with this Christopher Liddy and used his machines.
