Metal 3D Printer
Hi there,
I could not find a 3D printer related sub forum in here, since it is becoming quiet a popular tool, I am wondering why. Or maybe I joust could not find it.
Anyway I am looking at prices and specs of "Metal Laser Printers" since these would be very handy in my field.
Is there a discussion about them anywhere? I searched and could not find...
I have found one on Tao Bao but it seems a bit cheap in pricing.

If you're looking for a machine that's made out of metal but prints in plastic (like the one you linked to) there are lots to choose from in your price range and below, like this one: https://www.amazon.com/Printrbot-Ass.../dp/B00IYC60IM.

SLM type metal 3d starts at about 400k , the fiber laser unit alone for a small 200 watt is about 50k, plus galvo head. Then there is the special explosion proof vacuums required, disposing of potentially explosive air filters, argon or nitrogen supply, I think our vacuums alone are close to 15k.
