Have a look at Planet cnc.
For stepper drivers go to THB6064 drive kit.
Search for "lucas" here on cnczone, there are many postings by him on the 6064.
Stay away from the 5660.
Hello all,
I built a few months ago a CNC milling machine a I bought 3 step bipolar motors of 140N-cm (4wires, 3.3A, 3.3V).
After testing a few solutions with no good results, I'm looking for a solution (hardware + free soft), running with USB (for my laptop).
I think a all-in-1 card (controller + motor drivers) would be great because cheaper, easier to set, and I wouldn't have to worry about incompatibilities etc.
After searching on the internet, I found a few cards like those ones :
But but it doesn't work with USB.
But it's only 3A
- Consumer Electronics Motor Controller 4 Axis CNC USB Card Mach3 200KHz Breakout Board Interface-in Motor Controller from Industry & Business on Aliexpress.com
USB but using Mach3 which is really expensive, and no motor driver- ...
Also, I don't know the real quality of it. Some guys on forums say most TB6560 cards are disasters.
Could you please help me choosing a full solution for me ?
I don't need a professional tool, it's just for a personal use.
Thanks a lot for your help

THB6064 looks great
So
=> CNC USB controller Mk2/4 (4 axis) Planet CNC
+
=> Planet CNC USB software http://www.planet-cnc.com/index.php?page=software
+
=> THB6064AH special Rev. 1.1 http://users.skynet.be/ldt/CNC%20electronics/THB6064_spec_1.1_descr.html
Would be a great solution you think ?
Or maybe PBX-USB CNC Controller from probotix ?
Do you see other possibilities ? (maybe cheaper with just 3 axis)
You're second link is a pirated version of the PlanetCNC board and software.

That's right, I didn't notice
You can only go cheaper with the Chinese Crap With instructions in Chinglish which nobody can understand.
If you go too cheap you will end up with something that doesn't work.
I bought 2 different USBCNC Chinese boards before I saw the warning about counterfeits and both have the same problem. EBay has lots of them.
give it a g-code command for moving Z axis and it will not stop when it reaches the distance instructed to go you most stop it your self it will keep going if not.
All other functions seem to work correctly.
Oh well some days you eat bear some day the bear eats you!!!!!
here they are
More info I have tried to change the driver output to another axis no help.
I then completely changed the computer from a laptop to a desktop and changed the software by different CDs and downloading from the web.
Nothing has changed the Z output from this board using a G-code command cannot be controlled. Movement form the pendent of mouse click on
the screen for Z work well and stop as directed.
Another note of interest if you try to return the parts to China there is no tracking or insurance options from the USPO.
I returned one BOB and am waiting to see if I get a refund. The other company (rattm motor) wants me to pay a reduced price to get a replacement BOB. GTH my reply I have no faith in these guys now.
