    Disecting Curves

Don't know if that is the correct term or not for what I am trying to do. I've looked all through the help topics and the menues but can't figure this out.

What I need to do is perform a machining operation on just a portion of a curve I have in my part. No matter what I do, I can only select the entire curve. I am importing SolidWorks parts for what I am trying to machine.

For example, Let's say I have an outer overall shape of the part. The part is shaped like a coke bottle. My first operation is to profile cut the entire outer shape. No problem here. Now, let's say I want to round over just the sides of the part but not the top or bottom (of the bottle shape). See what I mean?

What I think I need to do is be able to pick and un-pick segments of a polyline or curve. That way I could pick the entire profile curve, exclude the segments I don't want and do the operation. But, I can't figure out how to do that.
