I am in need of a good used laptop if anyone is upgrading. Prefer it to have a floppy drive in it and solid and good shape. Just need an operating system and note pad in it. Let me know what you got Steve Thanks in advance |

| old thread but let me suggest a panasonic toughbook 27. They can be had for pretty cheap (<$100), have decent performance (PII-300.. enough even to run XP) and best of all, they're suitable for a shop environment. I just got one that must have been in a machine shop as the outside was caked with chips, but since the circuitry is all sealed it was still working fine. |
