G Code Editor

hi there

i'm new on here and this is my first situation.

I've created my post processor g code for a siemens, but the code is slighty different to what our system likes.

eg..... M6 T1 is on the same line but our cnc will not work unless these are on seperate lines

M6
T1

I've tried going into utilities and then hitting GCode editor, but nothing seem to happen?

my question is...? is there a way where i can edit the g code and script it for my cnc.

and suggestion are welcome

thanks

What Siemens Control are you working with (840D) ?

Why are you posting here in the VB area? Are you working on a VB app.?

Do you have any of the Siemens Control manuals? If, not I might be able to help you with a free download (PDF), of the manuals that could help you.

I work with Siemens (840D), you can open any g-code file in MS Notepad, If you are not able to edit inside the Siemens Control. You should be able to though.

One thing is you can't edit a program while it is running. And once you do edit a program, make sure that it is re-loaded so that the edits are also loaded into the control.

Post a sample text file (g-code) here, If possible.

Jerry

i'm using seimens 802d. i can edit on the seimens and also in notepad

BUT

i don't want to have to edit anything... i want to find a way to change the way visualmill writes the g-code so i don't have to edit. as it is taking up time.

i'm going to put this in the right section now
