    HURCO mill retrofit

I drove a few hundred miles the other day to help a customer that was putting Viper 200's on a Hurco mill. He was having some problems and i wanted to test the drives myself because it was a good opportunity to test the drives on a big mill .
He is running 160 volts and had blown a few of my older gen drives, so i came up with my latest with Short curcuit protection and that did the trick.
There was a few other problems, the Y axis encoder wasn't working and i removed some extra wire that was running to breakers before the drives.

We slammed it hard a few times (accidently) and once i purposely fed it into the end and keep pushing until it blew a fuse. But it didn't blow the drive

I will post some pictures. Thanks to Dan at Pimpbike .com for his patience.

Here is the beast. which is now tamed and running Mach 3 and Viper drives

Here is the controller. He's running a breakout board by PC4CNC (i think) .
The power supply is behind this cabinet and has a huge toroidal transformer. It runs at 160 Vdc with a fan blowing on the drives.

    Here is the electrocraft servo

Dan (the owner) makes fiberglass molds and vacu-forms. He made the console for his Mach3 setup. Wow, really nice work.

    Help with Hurco

    Hello
I recently purchased a Hurco MB1 in an auction, and I know it will need retrofitting.
Hurco replied that they have no retrofit for thi product.

Can you please advise what to use.

I want to use Mach 3

    Thank you in advance

The Viper 200's will drive it. You will need a 140 volts PS, breakout board and a lot of time.
Its high voltage, so it should be done by someone with electronic experience.
