Hey i_r good to see you went with the Vipers for your mill.
Read thru the manual carefully until you understand what to do.
The hard part now is finding a laptop that still has xp for the
Hyper terminal.i found a way of running it in Vista and will test this
out tomorrow along with a serial adapter to fit my lap top.
I used the existing transformer on the machine along with a 3phase
rectifier for the dc.

Hey Kieth,
I kept going back and looking at your Sharnoa retrofit until one morning I just decided to do it and order everything. Planning on salvaging as much as possible from the old electronics. I'm going to get a desktop for the pc. Mach 3 is supposed to be good thru windows 7, so I'll pick one up off of ebay.
I've read the manuals so much I can just about quote them. The only thing that I have a problem with is that it say to use a different ground on certain things. Do I need to drive a ground rod in and connect to it?I'll photo document everything when I get started.
