Recomended encoder
What is the recommended encoder for the current 200 drives? Full size mill electrocraft e703 motors. Current drives are FET drives rated at 80vdc and 15A. I would like the same proformace as the existing drives. Will the current litton 82bz-1000-5-3 work for a few months to finish some production runs up and swap to a differential encoder later? Or is there a good encoder for a reasonable price? Trying to same some money now but don't want to buy anything I will need to change out later to increase proformace. This is the last bit of info I need before pulling to old controller and starting a retrofit. If the existing encoders will work I will order the drives this week.
Thanks
Don

Anyone know how single ended encoders work with these drives?
Thanks

Re: Recomended encoder
Yes they will. Download the manual, and there is a diagram showing how to add a 2K res if your using single ended.
Get the US digital encoders, they are only about $60. Don't use those cheap AMT as they are just hobby quality ( Saving $20 isn't worth it for the most important part of a servo system. )
If your buying encoders, be sure to get differential as well.
