Interest check for a Topic Article

Greetings,

I was thinking of doing an article on hooking up Mach3 through Brains to modbus devices. I.e. Serial and TCP, for PLC's, Mobus board (CNC4PC), ModIO (Peter Holman's ModIO). How to set up the Modbus Module in Mach3, do some simple Brians to do common IO functions and interface with external devices.

If you have an interest level on stuff like this let me know here. If enough say yea go for it, I do one.

I would be interested in seeing what you have. The subject may be a little more advanced than what some readers want. However, we do try to present subjects of interest to readers of all skill levels, so I think your ideas would work in the magazine.

To date, all I have done is schedule it for the Spring issue. I’m still getting the Winter issue together, along with the other two mags, and should be getting to it sometime around the end of January.

Will you be heading to Cabin Fever again this year? If so, be sure to stop by the booth.

Sorry to hear you won't be able to make the workshop. We'll see you there next year!

I have not started in on the spring DM yet; it's next on the list after Home Shop Machinist. I should be getting to it when I return from Cabin Fever.

Your other article idea sounds interesting, I'm sure we could use it.

First, I’m sorry about the delay in replying to you. I have not been in the office much in the last few weeks and don’t always have an opportunity to check this site when away.

We are still in need of articles for DM and I don’t expect that to change anytime soon. Not all articles make it through the system at the same rate though, for a number of reasons.
