Feel like an idiot but....

Ok, I've looked and while I'm sure in this area it tells you how to embed videos in a post (not just a link) , I can not find how to do so. Could someone please instruct me how to do that or show me where the instructions are?

I have videos on google and youtube that I'd like to share but tried embedding them and not sure of how to use the "code" as it's not working for me.

I am just posting the info from the address bar right into this post. The forum software automagically imbeds it.

Oh and turn down the sound for this one.

OK, figured it out. In the advanced posting screen, under additional options, check the box that says "Automatically embed media". Then just paste the link like Lee said."http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jw0JRWZF5TA"]

Aha, thank you both, mine was unchecked and didn't even notice it-

Ok, just tried loading a video in the "mini-Lathe" section and it doesn't work there. I've seen others load videos in other parts of the forum here, is there something else that needs to be done in other areas of the forum?

EDIT: this is interesting, it really does work but I could not get a preview like I can in this area of the forum, but when I posted it, it works fine, weird......

Just hope this helps others in the future-

Hi Gerry,

As I edited in my post before yours, it does in fact work when you click the "post" button, but will not show the video when selecting the "preview post" button, just a link.
