Kinda surprised at the glue & butt join of the planks - that's enough? I guess it's not under any load.

What tool did you have in there to score the oval in the glass?

Great end result, it's a really nice design.

I could only see the extreme left side of your video; that might have something to do with the pop-up ad that came with it...

Nice Video, you do some amazing work man, great job. Was that Cherry wood, turned out fantastic. Noticed you used the CNC to score the mirror, what kind of cutter did you use? I have never tried to cut glass on my CNC. I assume you used each ring as another mirror, so you save machine time but doing five at a time or something. I had no issues playing your video it played perfect.

Gday Russ, Thanks for watching and your positive feedback.

The wood is Jarrah (a popular West Australian hardwood). Id love to play with some cherry or walnut but it can be a bit pricey here as its all imported...
The glass cutter is home made - Its a basically a store bought glass cutter mounter on a rod with a big spring to control the down force. I usually program the job to score down 6mm which is roughly the right pressure for the spring im using.
Yes, each ring is another Mirror, some of the smaller ones might end up with a picture in them

Not that Jarrah is going to be cheap in slabs that size, either. Not anymore!

Yeah, ive made a couple of runs of these mirrors and i get a little emotional on how much is wasted as well. Previously i have glued up three planks to make the full size board but didnt have anything on hand that would work so had to use the big slab ;(
