    Default DIY Cable Carrier

    Hello everyone,

Just thought I post a link to my cable carrier video. It's a very simple design. Enjoy.

    I agree.
    Welcome aboard.
    That looks very cool.
Echain has gotten a bit more affordable lately, but it can't rival that affordability if you already have the machine. You could easily cut out of different types of plastics.

Thar chain is awesome. I have found others, but this seems the simplist and not scews or fasteners. I would like to see g-code, and cad. Are you going to post? Great work!

I don't think I can post g-code files. But if you send me an email, I'll attach it on my reply.

    Thanks

Gcode won't do much good really.
If you want to share, then the DXF file will upload here.
Personally I'd love to have it.

Gcode itself is very personal developed for only one machine. Like noses, everyone's are different.

I would love to see the DXF file too, and then it would help others as well down the road.

OK. I just figured out how to convert SKP to DXF. Here's the file. Hope it works.

    Thanks

    Thanks for sharing!

I'm confused though as to which part keeps the sides from falling off. I read on your youtube link's comments where you stated "No. I uploaded the video before finishing the mounting ends. The carrier ends have a double cross piece that holds everything in place. Thanks"

I watched the video carefully and have determined which part goes where (after looking at the dxf file) but the dxf doesn't show the "Double Cross Piece" or at least I'm not understanding which one it is.

Thanks for any clarity you could bring to this,
    Regards,
    Vogavt
