For a specific application, I needed gears and thought I'd try my hands at making my own gear. I added a "COG" command
cog x,y,z1,z2 depth1,depth2 number_of_teeth.
Example: cog 5.125,7.625,-0.5,0 0.975,0.000 48
The video is the example output.
For my application, I count grooves as teeth, and will likely double up internally to keep the math straight, but simply put, it works and I no longer need to order gears. | |
