will this stepper kit work for my mini lathe?

hi,
i am new to cnc zone and cnc's. i am trying to convert a mini lathe to cnc.
the weight of z axis slide is about 5 kg and x axis is about 4 kg.
the motors in the kit are 15kg/cm (220~ oz)

Will this kit work for me or i should go for probotix?
as i have not found any video or plan using this kit and i am worried about the RPMs and torque of steppers for jog.

i will be using acme screws with nilon or gunmetal nuts. DO suggest me should i use multistart acme screw or single start. The kit is very cheap and i am interested in it. But it is my first project and i don't want to fry my first kit on the first run of machine.
