I say bottom Left

If there is no specification plate on them, I would suspect they are custom made one-offs?

Hesham, those are neat looking little machines. Did you take the photos? The four photos are obviously taken in the same room. I would much appreciate some higher-resolution pictures if they are in your posession.

It looks like the machines have tubular steel frames, obviously bolted together. Extruded t-slot plate for the table, like Isel. From the orientation of the axis drive motors, it looks like the drive is rack-and-pinion with the racks being machined from a round bar that also acts as a second bearing for the axis. The guide bars and racks (if so) are mounted in sub-blocks at each corner that are adjustable to make the X-Y plane parallel with the table surface.

It looks like the machines are prototypes or small production. In the orange machine, the corner blocks are secured on the sides of the corner tubes, and in all the others the blocks are secured on the face of the tube. The green and white machines have older round-body stepper motors, and the blue and orange machines have more recent square-body motors.

Do you have any more information on the machines that you can provide?

Randy

No, I think I was wrong about the axis drives. They are probably leadscrews. On the blue machine, there is a motor mounted on the back. Could there be leadscrews on both sides of the frame that are chained/tooth belted together to drive the gantry from both ends? The motor on the side of the gantry would be the Y-axis motor. Whatever, they look to be very nicely made machines.

Hi Hesham,

Ask Peter Varsanyi about the photos. (click on "Klikk ide" on that page to send him a message). The photos are in a folder of his at an FTP site for apparently http://www.hobbycnc.hu . Thanks for the links! There are many impressive homemade CNC machines there!
