    Looking for Lathe Spindle Brake

    Saw somewhere that someone mount a car disc brake on there metal lathe. Any ideas on this?

    You can buy eletronic motor brakes on ebay. The bore is properly not big enough to mount on the lathe itself, but you can mount it on the motor shaft

    Just don't apply brakes too suddenly, you don't want to catch parts with your face. lol
