| Motor-vated Hello, again everyone. I'll just shoot straight to it. I have two motors with no specicfics on voltage...at all. Is there a[universal]way to find out voltage(s) of any motor, in general? |

| I believe they are DC servo's but this predicament led me to ask the question, is there a way to find out the voltage of motors, in general |

| Hey thanks Al the man for clearing that up, everything you said sounds like a good begining for me, but one question,(obviously I am a newbie...I do have some training in machining, mostly milling. now I want to move towards lathe work and some electrical just so the end result I would be making my own cnc machine), how do I measure motor speed? I Appreciate your help, you the man Al! |

| Hey thanks a million, Al. I appreciate all the help. I'll try both ways, just in case I can't get my hands on a tach. I'll keep you posted on how everything goes. Again thanks, it's encouraging to see that there alot of people on this site that are willing to help others...cool. |
