Unhappy Retro 1050 GE Controled Lathe

I'v maybe made another questionable purchase in a LeBlond Tape Turn NC Lathe 19X54 LeBlond servo shift The Iron is nice but I don't know If I can ressuatate the control 1050GE It has DC servos with resolver's and hand wheels and joy stick on the apron seem's like a PC control should be a cake walk but look's like quite a job any ideas would be great Kevin Taylor

I retro fitted one once with a Mits M50 control, the original set up has resolvers on the handwheels and operated as a synchro system to enable it to be used in a Manual machining mode.
I have only ever seen this once in a CNC machine.

I'm waiting to hear back from the motor manufacture on the servo volt's and amp's no info on them except a part# A PC control is what I'm hoping for maybe emc and a gala card but I don't know that much about the control side of thing's did you retain the hand wheel's It would be nice like some of the newer toolrom lathes I also have a analim control with mits drives and sem motor's I could rob for part's Thank's Kevin

I did not reuse anything in the way of controller, drives or servo's, I believe they were ElectroCraft motors, but had OEM part number.
With Mits, it comes with all these supplied c/w AC servo's.
I did not attempt to keep the syncro/servo on the Handwheels.
You could use the existing motors with A_M-C. drives as long as the controller is analogue.
You would also need encoders on the motors.
