    I hope you intended to say 1500?

    You're doing a great job, I can't wait to it see it making parts!

    I finished the model for the indexing wheel. I'll be using two C3 from cnc4pc.

    Bad thing happened. I broke the 2mm end mill during the cutting and I had to continue with 3mm end mill. This cause a little larger slots. Do you think it will still work?

    Yes. The slot width makes no difference.

    Nice progress you are making.

    I don't recall what control you're using but if it's Mach you will use only single-slot indexing.

    @RotarySMP thanks Mark.

    @DICKEYBIRD
    I will start with Mach which is familiar to me then I'll switch to LinuxCNC.

    Installed.

    How many sensors do I need? I see some use 2 and some use 3.

    One for the index slot, and then either another onefor pulse, or two for the pulse, spaced 90° of tooth phase apart, which would give you a quadrature signal. This means 4x resolution verses the single pulse signal, and the machine controller will be able to sense direction of rotation, which it can't off a single pulse.

    The spindle will turn only in one direction so I need 2 sensors?

    I planned for three sensors, but also only have two connected. ~50 tooth rev seems to work fine under LinuxCNC.

    Small update after my last post.

    I've finally finished the housings for the telescopic ball screw covers.

    And I've added an oil nipple for the Z axis ball nut.

    I decided to use these connectors for the steppers and spindle motor. I also have military type expensive connectors but I like these more. 10 amps rated each pin.

    Do you have a link to the supplier of those connectors?

    Thanks.

    I got these connectors from an online store in Turkey. I don't know if they ship overseas but here's the links:

    Male plug:

    These are made in Turkey but I've seen very similar ones (actually identical) on ebay from the Chinese.

    Same connector used on a spindle:

    Time for an update. I needed a 500x500x300 electronics box but these dimensions are very uncommon. So I had to made mine.

    I added two place for 120mm computer fan for inner circulation. One will blow fresh air from outside-to-inside and other will blow the air from inside-to-outside.

    I've used hammered silver paint.

    Edit: I've used about 170 blind rivets. My right hand still hurts.
