where did you buy it? ebay/here at cnczone? is he a member here?
I purchased a CNC router kit from Tony on June 15th, 2007 for $3655.00 and have not recieved any kit or any refund. He is no longer responding to my calls, emails or letters from my attorney, and I am now taking legal action against him.
I have had contact with two other individuals who have had the same experience. If this has happened to you, please contact me to help build a stronger case against him.
Thank-you,

I purchased the item on ebay.
link?
Wow! thats a lot of money to part with. How was his feedback rating? A link would be good.
I really want to wish you the best in getting anything back from Tony Taves if he is the same person that has scammed hundreds of people for possibly millions of dollars in Illinois and other states. We took him to court but there was no justice in Illinois.
Wow what fun this is! I sent in a deposit for a 4x5 router about a year and a half ago. Asked for a refund last Fall.
Nothing. His phone and email are dead as of this morning?
Hard to know if this guy is a scammer or just got in over his head with building routers? Would just like to get funds back and get on with building my GREAT Joe 4x4 Hybrid! Tony if you are reading this.... quit being a bum and clean up after your bungled business you bum!

Just thought it would be interesting to hear your description of "Tony Taves"
and to hear what experience you had to see if there would be a logical "next move" into router building?
Thanks, Andrew
Hi,
Not sure if it is the same guy but I was scammed by a guy using the name of Gyula Lami on this form about two years back. (His user name here was Gyula) I purchased a router system and servo motors only to have a year of lame stories and headaches before he disappeared with my cash. There were a few others that were scammed by this Gyula clown on this forum besides myself. I did file a fraud report but we know what that gets you...... nothing.
Hi everyone,
I also ordered a 3x5 router from the joker, I did get part of it but after about a year he disappeared. He got $4,000.00 out of me, I live in the Atlanta area of Ga. and to go after him would cost more than I would get. I did threaten him but didn't seem to do any good. I hope he gets bagged for this, talking about scum.
I too was scamed by tony. I live in so cal and not far from his last known address. After giving $3,200 he skipped or shut down. I did pickup a 3x5 frame and a z axis.
I'm not one to cry in my beer so I am finally going on with my project router. I have started slowly buying the parts I need to finish it. The system sold by PDJinc. is compatible with tonys junk and I ame going to a rail system rather than tony's non proven rods. I'll probably have anothre $3,000 in it but will have a lot better system..
I have been watching E-Bay closely to see if tony pops up under anything else. A few months back a gantry and z-axis showed up in the Ill. area, when i questioned it and who made it he shut down.. Thak uou and lots of luck....
All,
Tony emailed me from this business last year. Not sure of his connection?
Now that I've been ripped, it sure looks suspicious to me! (sorry biz folks if you let Tony slip within your midst. Don't mean to cast dispersions on your efforts!) But why the heck don't you have a phone number ???????

Then in a letter outlining our "deal" he mentions a FARM in Indiana.
Anyone want to file a MASS LIEN against the property if we can find it?
When I visited him about 6 months ago and I brought up his potential involvement in investment dealings as mentioned above. He firmly acknowledged it and brushed it off. Just another chunk of info that someone with a law background could possibly extract something from to show a pattern?
" I suggest that you wait to ship the stove until the machine goes
out the door. That way, we both get to open New Years presents at the
same time... Although I may actually pay the extra shipping costs and
have you ship it to my farm in Indiana.
Ho Ho Ho!!!
Tony"
