gears problem in 2d profiling

I'm trying to show those gears in the preview window, but i'm having problems, i dont know if i'm doing something wrong or are the files, i just open the file, select the material, select a gear vectors, and create a 2d profile, and in the preview print just a circle, where can i find a 2d profiling tutorial, there are a lot, but not on profiling thanks a lot, here are the clock plans:

Make sure you join and close the vectors, and also make sure the tool you're using is small enough to get between the teeth. If the tool is too large, it will look like just a circle.
