Roland users?

Hi all,

is here anyone who use Vectric's softwares with Roland milling machines?

I have two Roland milling machines in my workshop. My Roland milling machines are MDX-40 and MDX-540. In this MDX-540 I have istalled automatic tool changer and rotary axis. My workshop located in Tampere, Finland.

I'm now testing Vectric's softwares with my Roland milling machines and looking that does these fit my woodworking business.

If here is anyone who use these Vectric's softwares with Roland milling machines, I'll be happy to hear it.

best regards
Antti Nieminen

You can down load the trial version and run one of the test files yourself. The programs has alot of post processors its just a matter of finding the one that is right for yours.

Thumbs up for Vectric

I am using Vectric software with a Roland PNC-3000. Works GREAT!

One thing I really like is the direct feed/output option from Vectric to my Roland Mill. No need to save to a file and then download to the machine.
The program runs the mill direct.

Software seems very stable and user friendly. Easy to learn. Good value for the price. Also, quick replies to my emails.

Jack

Hi Guys,

Thanks Chuck - We have a very good working relationship with Roland UK and they provide us with a Roland EGX-600 for testing. Very precise and reliable machines and they work very well with the direct driver as Jack mentioned.

Hi all,

I have made now my tests with my Roland milling machines.

Vetric Sofwares works very well with Roland MDX-40 and MDX-540 milling machines and I got very good and fast support from Vetcric. I can now use also automatic tool changer in my MDX-540 milling machine with Vectric Softwares.

Thanks!

Even though it seems the question has been answered.

I figure it all depends on what controls the machine, not really the machine itself right? Like if I am using Mach3 to control my machine then exporting the code to Mach3 from Vectric Software's should be find regardless of the machine. Am I wrong thinking this?? many thanks!@
