What's the plaque made of?
Needing help/guidance on what type of engraving tool to use on 1.6mm thick material to create text on a memorial plaque for recycled plastic garden benches. Equipment used is a mini CNC. Plaque size is 102mm x 65mm.

Material is black plastic with silver laminate. Overall thickness is 1.6mm.
Thanks
I'd probably use a single or two-flute ball end cutter for that.

We used single edged engraving tools for sign plastics. You'll have to get your spoilboard as level as possible, and you should use a vacuum fixture of some sort. The machines we used had a depth stop collar that rides over the work piece via a spring-loaded spindle, because there can be variations in thickness.
