VCarve Pro Trial version 3.0: any newer version?

I downloaded some Christmas files from Tony, from VCarve but when I came to the one named Christmas Plaque I got an error message when I tried to open it saying "This file was written by a later version of the program. To read this file you will need the later version. File written by version 3.102
I am working with the VCarcve Pro Trial version 3.0. Looking at the forum, I tried to find a later version of Vcarve Pro and was confused by what I read. One of the posts announced version 3.1 in May of 2005. In Sept of 2006, I see an announcement on
version 3.0 being released. Isn't this a bit odd? Am I reading this wrong? At any rate, how can I open and use the Christmas Plaque file with the version of VCarve Pro that I have (3.0)

The dates you mention are refering to different versions of the software.
Correct me Tony if I'm wrong..but
VCarve Wizard 3.1 (May 2005)...turned into VCarve Pro.
The latest and greatest is Ver 3.102 Aug. 2006.
There have been so many enhancements that the earlier software will not run files generated in VCP 3.1

I will convert them over for ya later on...gotta go to work.
Tony will probaly beat me to it.

Hi Nick,

The Christmas designs that Paul N has so kindly supplied can only be opened and cut using the Full Release version of VCarve Pro which is version 3.102.

My guess is that you might be running the Trial version which is slightly older - 3.0?



Looking back at the announcements made on the Forum about the different product releases dates,

Version 3.0 was released on the 30th June
