I'm just starting my search, so feel free to link to sites and tutorials for answers.
I am bidding on a sign project. The sign will be HDU, painted.
The customer MAY want a wood grain textured background.
Is there is an easy way to make a wood grain texture with VCarve Pro?
Find a bitmap of the type of wood your looking for and use the create model from bitmap option in modeling. Im making one now.
He doesn't have Aspire, he has V Carve pro.

Well you COULD theoretically find a woodgrain bitmap on the net (I'd look for something like ASH which has a very pronounced grain), convert it to B&W or greyscale with some free picture editor, then bring it into VCarve and do a vector trace. You'd then have to clean it up, and V-Carve it. I did this one a long time ago with CasMATE (20 years ago almost!)
Thanks for the suggestions guys.
