    multiple cuts

Hello, I seem to have a problem with my system. I am using 2D vectric software along with Mach 3. If I set up a project to do one cut countinuously it works fine, But when I set up a project that needs multiple cuts the cutter starts to go deeper and deeper into the material and I have the max cutting depth set to .0625 and it still does this, What am i doing wrong?

    Thank you

Can you post a picture of what the issue is? Where did your geometry come from? CAD, PDF, jpg, bmp? Just reading your post as it is it sounds like that there are mulitiple peices of geometry on top of one another....just a guess. Provide us with more information and then we can go from there.

    multiple cuts

it is a sign of a notary stamp that has numerous little rectangles that circle the stamps outer and inner parts and they lay next to each other and not on top of each other, and what is happening is the machine starts out fine but as it moves from one to the next it slowly goes deeper and deeper, The max cut depth is set for .0625 the material is set for .375 and the passover depth is set for .0625. What am I doing wrong here? Thanks'

It sounds like you have the the z reversed in either your cut or your image.
A pic is worth a thousand words and a little crv file would help also...

edit: Check your tool for it's max cut depth and it's passover depth also as this may override your tool path

You could do that but the better answer is to fix the code or at least get the z going the way it should.
On another note, are all of your axis calibrated between your machine and Mach? Assuming that you are running a DIY machine?
Gathering more information instead of guessing and I will PM my email address to you.

    multi cuts

Yes it is a DIY machine and usually works pretty good but for some reason when I need multi cuts it seems to do this? I also have an e-mail sent to vectric about this. Thanks

Ok let's back up a bit, please define "one-cut continuously" and "multiple cuts".
I have just looked at your file and it ran no problem (virtually, that is) with the 60^ v-bit.

    multi cut

What i mean is if i cut out a circle out of a peice fo material it will work fine, or cut out a pocket but if I need for instance the pattern I gave you, the bit will slowly go deeper each time as it moves to each cut.

It could be your Z axis losing steps each time it retracts, causing successive cuts to get deeper.
