ck material setup, ck tool database parameters, ck tool data for correct depth in aspire. also suggest you post on vectric forum
Hi all I was looking at Vcarve/Aspire and some one I know who makes signs said he has it.
So I went there to pick up his laptop to have a play.
The problem I have is when I do a machine run through in Aspire (2.5 btw)
it looks fine as soon as I get it into mach3 its all screwed up and would cause a major crash.
here is a pic of the Aspire
and now in mach3
as you can see the cuts drop loads and if I was to run this for real then I would plunge into the work piece lucky for me I am only looking at the out put via mach3 and not sending it to a machine.
any ideas please as I dont have long as when he is back he will want his laptop back
Thanks all
the PP I used is
Mach2/3 Arcs (ince) (*.txt)

Hey thanks for the reply.
I have checked as much as I can its odd that it shows good in Aspire but then when it gets to mach3 it goes mad.
Any one got an answer? or some thing else I can try next.
thanks
Without seeing the files, it's very hard to guess what's going on.
Many, many users use Aspire with Mach3 with no problems. Myself included.

Oh damn ummm don't know what to do.
I can send ya a file that cocks up for me and if you don't mind test it for me.
Though saying that why am I having troubles and my mate never said about it to me?.
Thanks
As mentioned above, ask at Vectric's forum and you might get an answer quicker.

OK registered on there forum still waiting for an admin to activate me account takes ages hahahaha.
Any thing I could try in the mean time as he will be back for his lappy soon![]()
I can't think of anything that could give you one toolpath in Aspire and a diffrent one in Mach3. Unless you have another in Aspire that isn't shown and you're exporting the wrong one?

Well this is a complete loss.
If I import a bitmap for tracing then create a profile cut around it as per pics on me first post in Aspire its fine.
In mach3 it comes out as me second pic with the blue lines dropping randomly around the cut.
Mach3 version is
Version R3.042.020
OK this is another example
in Aspire made with just the curve draw tool
in mach3
in aspire
in mach3
so as you can see for some reason in mach3 it decides to randomly lower the Z axis though in Aspire it show it as being perfect.
Thanks

Hi again Ger21 here it is

Thanks very much mate.
Hi, stk2008.
I can't tell you what's causing that to happen, but it looks like Mach is showing the right toolpath.
Pic shown below is of your gcode, backplotted in CamBam.
