I'm guessing you want something like this? If so, use a 2 rail sweep.
Hi,
I'm new to Aspire and the whole part designing process. I have a cnc router would would like to make a tube bending die out of aluminum. A picture of what I would like to make is shown. It's the larger die in the photo.
My problem is with designing the part in Aspire 2.5. I'm not asking for somebody to do the design for me, but to explain how to do it.
Could a member make up a sample part which I can then recreate or scale on my own?
Since the tubing I will be bending is 2.00 od, the die would be approximately 2.50 thick and about 8 inches in diameter. I have thoughts of machining this die in 2 parts then putting them together to make a complete die. So the actual part would be 1/2 of the actual die.
I want to make this die on my cnc router. If you can Please stay on topic, it would be appreciated. I'm sure there are may different ways of making this die with other machines and process.
Thank you all in advance,
Rod

Gerry,
You are the man! 2 rails sweep. That's the ticket.
And you stayed on topic to boot.
Thanks a million.

Thats an awfully short radius to bend 2" tube. Check with Pro-Tools benders in Florida, they are very good about providing help to DIYers.
Thanks for the advice. I will give them a call now that you mentioned they are helpful to diyers,
