Is the ramp actually in the g-code, or is your controller causing the ramp?
Hi
Im having trouble cutting slots in V Carve pro.
When I cut a simple L shaped slot, it plunges ok, but when it gets to the end, instead of leaving the slot squarely upwards, it ramps on exit
I'm using the 'Profile Toolpath' option to cut the slot with a 6mm mill bit. I can see no option to adjust this.
How do I get it to leave the cut slot with out ramping up?

Is the ramp actually in the g-code, or is your controller causing the ramp?

I'm not sure. From the 3D preview it looks like its cutting normal. There doesn't seem to be an option in v-carve tool path options for anything which would cause it as its all greyed out as the slot is a simple procedure.
In 'Toolpath Options', is 'Profile toolpath' (the 1st option) the correct one to use for this type of cut?
My guess is that your controller is doing it. What are you controlling the machine with?

What is your Z axis acceleration set to in Mach3? Increasing it will probably fix the issue.

Go into Config >General Config, and check the box "Stop CV on angles>" and set it to 89.
