Default Importing DXF to Vcarve Pro trial, Profile toolpath seems odd - Help needed

Im new to CAM and following the Vectric "wing spar" tutorial to setup a Profile toolpath.
I created a new drawing and imported a dxf of the part I need to cut. After setting up the material, tool, vectors, etc...
I run the calculate and the path is way off (see image). What do you think im doing wrong? Is there anything specific I need to do in AutoCAD when saving as dxf?

In AutoCAD, use PEDIT to make it a single closed polyline.

Or, In V Carve Pro, use Node edit to change the start points.
It looks like the different segments are being cut in different directions, so some are offset to the inside, and some to the outside.

Thanks Gerry. When I did PEDIT, the fuzz distance was to small to close the polyline into one polygon.. i didn't notice that initially.

There shouldn't be any gaps in the drawing to start with. Accurate cuts require accurate drawings.

Unfortunately, they are not my drawings. Shared in another forum.

Highlight the vector then press "J" (join) and Vcarve will give you the info on those vectors.

Did you figure it out? If not maybe include the file so it can be downloaded and evaluated. It looks segmented and it is being cut in two parts.

Yes, I did. thank you. I opened it up in AutoCad and did a PEDIT as stated above. I need to read the vector document Mike linked to above.
