Default Needing a How To for a Scallop

Wanting to understand how I make a Scallop action to achieve a Tractor Tire Look. My Understanding is the shape around A-B would be a Circle on say a 45 degree angle so that the circle would hit A at 12mm ( Material would be 12mm Thick ) then B would be like 4mm remaining. If anyone has a favourite YouTube clip showing how I can acheive this would be Fantastic

    Ken...
    Pic 1:
I used a similar shape to your tread segment and copied it around a circle (smallest). Joined them all with a smooth curve.
Then offset the circle to outside the treads (largest), grouped them for a VCarve toolpath

    Pic 2:
I then took a copy of the tread pattern and the middle circle, welded keeping outermost

    Pic 3:
Did a profile outside the welded vector and vcarved the joined
