Setup a machining boundary to restrain cutting just "to" , but not over the edge. Then use a 2d profile to cut the edges.
Need a little input for rough edges.
Milling a fishing lure mold, materail .50 Delrin. My edges of lure are coming out rough. The bottom surface of lure is fine. I attached a photo which shows edge cut.
My conditions and perimeters...
3D Roughing- .1250 ball end mill, .0625 depth of cut, step over 0.0025 2% ,30 IPM ,Machine allowance (.02), Z level (Raster X), Profile-(Last)
3D Finish- .1250 ball end mill, .0625 depth of cut, step over 0.0013 ,40 IPM ,Raster (45 degree)

Thank you for the reply. Do you know if a tutuorial is available for your recommendation? I am trying to remove the scallops from the wall edge.
I cannot name a specific tutorial that pertains to this, but there are numerous threads on the Vectric forum that give both instruction and examples on how to accomplish exactly what you are looking for.
