Solid material alternative to epoxy?

Does anyone have experience or knowledge of a machinable material that can be used for vacuum forming polycarbonate? Basically start with this material, machine to form, clean surface finish, use as a mold?

Currently we use an aluminum filled epoxy, there is so much back and forth work to create the mold I have to imagine there is a more direct way.

I use 8001 Kwik Kast resin.

I also noticed they have tooling boards.

Polytek does have trial sizes for many of their products, but overall they are competitive with others. In other words pretty expensive. They do have some very unusual stuff though. They put out a users manual/catalog for around $10 that's worth getting

The BCC Kwik Kast resin is about half the usual price and easier to use than anything else I've tried.

I've been using Ureol, which is a sort of predecessor of RenShape's block material. Very easy milled and form stable.
