    trouble with Ultem

Hi, I'm new to this forum and am in need of some help. I have been experienting with trying to vacuum form .06" Ultem. Ive been getting pretty close but cant quite seem to get it to pull all of the way down into the corners, and occasionally the material rips when apply vacuum. Any input on temperatures or sheet size or overall procedure would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Bryson

    ultem problems

Hi bmstewart, I do not know what temperatures you are using but since ultem is a hitemperature resistant material try turrning the temp up a bit until it stops cracking!the melting point for ultem is 349 C and 660 F

    Good luck!

    Gary H.
