    using charcoal bbq?

    i have heard you can use bbq's to heat your plastic, is this true? how would you heat the edges without burning your hands off or burning a wood frame? thanks for sugestions

    You should ask this over at tk560. There are several people there who've made small vacuum formers that use electric or propane barbecue grills to heat the plastic. (Including me.)

    You should ask this over at tk560. There are several people there who've made small vacuum formers that use electric or propane barbecue grills to heat the plastic. (Including me.) And there's a number of people who've used wooden frames.

    The short answer about frames is that the oven doesn't get hot enough to set the wood on fire, or you don't leave them in that long, although wood may warp eventually. (And you don't hold the frame with your hands.)

    i registered at tk560 about 4 days ago but noone has activated my account yet (admin has to) and i dont want to use a big bbq, juss thoe little tiny ones. how would i hold it? how long to i let it heat for?
